The AR2D-LC is an automatic machine for assembling empanadas and half-moon turnovers from pre-cut dough discs. Its compact rotary design takes up minimal floor space — it fits through a standard doorway — and produces approximately 500 empanadas per hour with just one operator. Built entirely from aluminium and stainless steel, it features safety sensors and detachable forming dies, complying with food safety, health and hygiene standards. Thanks to the HiSTec washdown system, every part and accessory can be wet-cleaned and is suitable for pressure washing. The vacuum-operated dosing unit works cold (no heat applied), protecting the filling and preventing bacterial growth. Portion size is adjustable from 15 to 55 g, with a 25-litre hopper, and it handles any filling with a moist base and solids in suspension: knife-cut meat, tuna, vegetables, chicken, ham and cheese. The doser can be temporarily bypassed for manual placement of solid fillings, or combined: a solid item placed by hand (whole olive) with moist filling dosed on top.
